A BALLB(Hons) combined degree enables you to earn both a BA and LLB(Hons) more quickly and with fewer credit requirements than pursuing each degree individually. This program cultivates crucial abilities that prepare students to succeed in our rapidly evolving, interconnected world. Law studies equip you with versatile skills highly valued across numerous professions, both within and outside legal practice. You can pair your legal education with diverse subjects spanning humanities, social sciences, cultural studies, and languages. The BALLB(Hons) program fosters transferable skills applicable to various career paths. You'll gain legal expertise, understand its societal impact, and develop a strong sense of justice and civic duty. Our alumni practice law throughout New Zealand and internationally, embracing emerging opportunities created by societal, technological, and business advancements.

Your coursework will include Stage II Academic English Studies (ACADENG) designed for non-native English speakers. If your English proficiency doesn't meet Stage II requirements, you'll complete Stage I ACADENG courses first. Alongside academic English, you'll examine linguistic structures (phonetics, morphology, syntax, and semantics) and explore fundamental theories of language acquisition and instruction.
