The BALLB conjoint program enables you to earn both a BA and LLB degree in a shorter timeframe and with fewer credit requirements than pursuing them individually. This combined degree equips you with crucial skills to navigate and excel in our rapidly evolving global landscape. By studying Law, you'll acquire versatile competencies that meet the rigorous demands of diverse career paths, both within and beyond the legal field. Your legal education can be enriched by pairing it with various disciplines from humanities, social sciences, cultural studies, and languages. The BALLB program cultivates robust professional capabilities, fostering legal expertise alongside a strong sense of justice and civic duty. Our alumni are successfully practicing law across New Zealand and internationally, while also capitalizing on emerging opportunities created by societal, technological, and business transformations.
As part of your BA requirements, you may select Education as one of your two majors (double major). Psychology and Sociology pair particularly well with an Education major. Alternatively, you might opt for a second major in Anthropology or a language to broaden your academic perspective. Each major requires completion of at least 120 points (eight courses), including a minimum of 45 points (three courses) at Stage III level.
