A BABHSc combined degree enables you to earn both a BA and BHSc faster than pursuing them individually. This interdisciplinary program explores biological, social, and behavioral community factors. It emphasizes health determinants, wellness initiatives, illness prevention, medical systems, and health regulations. Discover how to implement fundamental health promotion and disease prevention strategies for community health issues – while selecting from diverse humanities, social sciences, cultural studies, and language courses. The BABHSc provides comprehensive non-clinical training for various health sector careers. Potential roles include wellness advocacy, health instruction, public health initiatives, counseling services, and healthcare system design. Please note the University of Auckland doesn't oversee graduate employment and cannot ensure professional certification or job placement in New Zealand or internationally.
The program offers exploration of language structure and cognition, societal language applications, and linguistic evolution. Students can examine English grammar and Pacific region languages. Linguistics may be selected as one of two BA specializations (dual major). Completion requires 120 points (eight courses) per major, including 45 points (three courses) at advanced levels.
