Chinese language classes focus on developing Mandarin conversation skills and reading proficiency, with particular attention to speaking and listening. The curriculum includes writing Chinese characters and introductory translation, all within meaningful cultural frameworks. Alongside language studies, you can explore Chinese culture through courses on film, media, politics, history, and society taught in English. We highly recommend utilizing the University of Auckland's partnerships with institutions in Chinese-speaking regions. Additionally, we provide short-term cultural immersion and language study trips.
