Our BABE(Hons) program equips you with the abilities to succeed in a rapidly evolving global economy. This five-year course integrates academic learning with hands-on experience, enabling you to enhance your technical expertise with versatile skills and analytical capabilities crucial for addressing intricate challenges. You have the option to pair any of our nine engineering disciplines with diverse studies in humanities, social sciences, cultures, and languages. The distinctive competencies acquired through BABE(Hons) will position you advantageously to capitalize on emerging prospects arising from advancements in technology, business, and society. Every Engineering specialization is accredited by Engineering New Zealand, ensuring international recognition of this qualification.

The curriculum explores linguistic structures and cognitive processes, societal language applications, and historical language evolution. You can examine English grammar and Pacific region languages in depth. Linguistics is available as one of two potential BA majors (dual major). Completion requires passing a minimum of 120 points (eight courses) per major, including at least 45 points (three courses) at the advanced level.
