Our BABE(Hons) program equips you with the skills to succeed in a rapidly evolving global economy. This five-year course combines theory and hands-on experience, enabling you to enhance your technical expertise with versatile skills and analytical thinking crucial for tackling intricate challenges. You can pair any of our nine engineering disciplines with diverse subjects from humanities, social sciences, cultures, and languages. The distinctive capabilities you'll acquire through BABE(Hons) will position you advantageously to capitalize on emerging opportunities in societal, technological, and business advancements. All Engineering specializations are accredited by Engineering New Zealand, ensuring international recognition of this qualification.
You'll enroll in Stage II Academic English Studies (ACADENG) courses tailored for non-native English speakers. If your English proficiency doesn't meet Stage II requirements, you'll complete Stage I ACADENG courses first. Alongside academic English, you'll explore language structure (phonetics, morphology, syntax, and semantics) and examine principles of language acquisition and instruction.
