This program serves as the foundational stage for pursuing a career in architecture. Build essential skills in drawing, design, and visual communication to articulate architectural ideas. Examine building sites and investigate methods for achieving eco-friendly architectural solutions. Learn about the architectural industry's business aspects while gaining knowledge of New Zealand's construction regulations, building techniques, fundamental contract administration processes, taha Māori, and indigenous viewpoints relevant to architectural practice.
Academic requirements:
Applicants must be at least 16 years of age when they begin their studies
Successful completion of Year 13 (NCEA Level 3) with minimum of with minimum of 48 credits (approx.) 42 credits (approx.) or International Baccalaureate score 24+ or Cambridge International Examination (CIE) 120 points on UCAS tariff.
English Language Requirements: IELTS test: Academic score of 6 with no band score lower than 5.5. TOEFL Internet-based test (iBT): Score of 60 (with a writing score of 18); PTE (Academic) score of 50 with no band score lower than 42; Cambridge English Qualifications: B2 First, or B2 First for schools, or C1 Advanced, or C2 Proficiency with a score of 169. No less than 162 in each skill. OET: Minimum of Grade C or 200 in all sub-tests. NZCEL - Level 4 (Academic). Language Cert - C1 Expert International ESOL Written (LRW) PASS with no less than 25/50 in each skill and Spoken (S) PASS.
