Pursue a career in design and help shape a brighter future. At Massey's College of Creative Arts in Wellington, you can choose from diverse programs including concept design, fashion design, industrial design, integrated design, photography, spatial design, textile design, and visual communication design. Our School of Design, established in 1886, stands as New Zealand's largest design institution and has nurtured many of the nation's most celebrated designers. As a design student at Massey, you'll primarily create and conceptualize in specialized studios, workshops, and media labs, regardless of your chosen specialization. The curriculum provides ample chances to discover other design disciplines through elective courses and promotes interdisciplinary teamwork. Emphasis is placed on solving practical challenges, with fourth-year students gaining hands-on experience through real client projects. Every Design degree student enters an honors program, with a pivotal decision point in your third year: continue with the research-intensive honors track or opt for the alternative path that offers greater elective flexibility in your final year.
