The Master of Science (Research) program offers an excellent pathway to develop specialized research capabilities while investigating a scientific field through a one-year thesis project.
Students learn in a supportive, academic setting with options to pursue either the general Master of Science (Research) or specialize in disciplines including Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Food Science, Geospatial Science, Marine Science, Microbiology, or Molecular Genetics.
During the second year, the program emphasizes thesis work (120 credits), helping students refine critical thinking abilities and master research techniques, data interpretation, and scholarly communication. This research project allows students to delve into their chosen field under expert faculty guidance.
Our faculty members are dedicated educators, focused on student achievement, and recognized contributors to international research. With intentionally limited class sizes, students enjoy greater access to professors. The program emphasizes practical learning through fieldwork and collaborative projects with industry partners, complementing classroom instruction.
