New Zealand’s demand for Engineering professionals continues to grow with the sector’s needs. After consulting with industrial partners, we’ve identified a need for capacity and capability-building amongst Engineering graduates so they can deliver value immediately after completing their degree. The MProfEng will help graduates develop well-rounded skills so they can make a safe, positive contribution to employers and society upon leaving university. The MProfEng programme is designed to meet the requirements for professional registration against the Washington Accord, the global standard for ‘accredited’ engineering degrees. This will provide graduates a pathway to practice as Chartered Professional Engineers (or similar), and will also support our graduates’ global mobility as professional engineers.
