The Master of Science (Research) program offers an excellent pathway to develop specialized research capabilities while investigating a scientific discipline through a year-long thesis project.
Students learn in a supportive, academic setting with options to pursue either the general Master of Science (Research) or specialize in fields including Biomedical Science, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Food Science, Geospatial Science, Marine Science, Microbiology, or Molecular Genetics.
The second year concentrates on the thesis component (120 points), where students refine critical thinking abilities and master research techniques, data interpretation, and scholarly communication. This substantial project allows for in-depth exploration of a chosen subject under expert faculty guidance.
Our dedicated faculty combine teaching excellence with international research recognition. With intentionally limited class sizes, students enjoy greater access to instructors. The program emphasizes practical application through fieldwork and collaborative projects with industry leaders, moving learning beyond traditional classroom boundaries.
