Skilled sign language interpreters are increasingly sought after. These professionals play a vital role in providing the Deaf community with access to New Zealand's legal, education, and healthcare services. This program equips you for a rewarding career as a sign language interpreter. You'll gain deep understanding of Deaf culture and community while developing fluency in New Zealand Sign Language. During your second and third years, you'll study the interpreting profession's history both in New Zealand and globally. The curriculum focuses on building interpreting competencies for diverse situations and examining the ethical considerations in sign language interpretation. Qualification Requirements

International Baccalaureate (IB) with successful completion of a minimum of 24 points.

General Certificate of Education (GCE) with three A-levels including at least one C grade or better. A result in General Studies cannot be included among the 3 on which the application is based.
A minimum of CCC scores (7 points) across the NCUK International Foundation Year (IFY)
Acceptance of the NCUK English for Academic Purposes qualification as an alternative to meeting the English-language requirements, with a minimum of a C grade overall and no less than D grade in each component.
English Interpreting majors: IELTS (Academic) 7.0 overall with 7.0 in Writing and Speaking, and 6.5 in Reading and Listening, or equivalent.
