Electrical and Electronic Engineering is a challenging and evolving subject that is relevant to a wide range of industries, including the power sector and the electronics industry. At Southampton, you will gain a broad spectrum of knowledge and skills required to work in the technology sector, but also the wider range of competencies needed by today's professional engineer.
Students undertake Years 1 and 2 at the University of Southampton Malaysia and Years 3 and 4 at the UK campus.
This four-year programme builds on our long experience in teaching excellent electrical engineering and electronic engineering programmes and aims to give our students a broader spectrum of knowledge and skills that will allow them to work in a wide range of industries, including the power sector and the electronics industry.
A-Level
A*AA or AAAA including Mathematics and Physics or A*A*B including Mathematics and Physics (minimum grade A*)
IB Diploma
Pass with 38 points overall, 19 points required at Higher Level, including 6 at Higher Level in Mathematics (Analysis and Approaches) or 7 at Higher Level in Mathematics (Applications and Interpretation), and 6 at Higher Level in Physics
STPM
AA-A-, including Mathematics and Physics
UEC
AAAAAA, with A in Advanced Mathematics I & II, Physics and two other STEM subjects (Computing accepted}*
Foundation Year
Foundation Year programmes from the other institutions will be considered on a case-by-case basis
Years 1 and 2 (in Malaysia) RM59,950 per annum
Years 3 and 4 (in the UK) £21,920 per annum
