The BSc (Honours) Biomedical Sciences 2+1 program, provided jointly by NUMed Malaysia and Newcastle UK, explores various medical-related disciplines. Students examine essential fields including biochemistry, genetics, physiology, microbiology, immunology, and pharmacology. This curriculum matches the one taught at Newcastle University's UK Medical School, and graduates receive the same BSc (Honours) Biomedical Sciences degree from Newcastle University, UK. The program at NUMed Malaysia consists of two phases: Part I - two academic years replicating the UK curriculum, conducted at NUMed Malaysia's modern 13-acre campus in Iskandar Puteri, Johor; and Part II - a final year at Newcastle UK featuring research-focused instruction and an in-depth project within one of the university's prestigious medical research institutes.

Qualification Requirements
Students who have completed SPM, O-Level or equivalent programmes must first complete a recognised pre-university qualification as a basic requirement for entry to an undergraduate degree at NUMed Malaysia.
Whatever pre-university qualifications you offer, they should include the science subjects of Biology and Chemistry and one other subject at a level equivalent to A-Levels, International Baccalaureate Diploma or STPM.
A UCAT result is currently not required for entry to NUMed Malaysia. The entrance requirements below apply to 2023 entry.
A-Levels
BBB at A2 Level. Further consideration may be given for additional academic achievements. We do not accept General Studies or Critical Thinking as A2 Level qualifications.
IB - A minimum of 30 points with Biology, Chemistry and one other Science subject at Higher Level Grade 4 and above. IB overall points include the additional points available for the Theory of Knowledge/Extended Essay.
Normally BBB based on the best three subjects including the required science subjects.
Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)-90
