This Master of Science program is tailored to expand and strengthen the clinical and academic skills of allied health professionals through core and elective modules aligned with their practice. The program offers flexible study options, available both part-time and full-time. Modules are delivered through a combination of classroom instruction and distance learning, supplemented by e-learning platforms, individual tutorials, and mentorship.
The MSc in Advanced Healthcare Practice aims to sharpen graduates' critical thinking and cultivate evidence-based practitioners who can lead effective healthcare services. Upon completion, graduates will gain specialized knowledge in Health Sciences applicable to their professional work. They will develop the ability to analyze the strengths and limitations of existing theories and research while critically reflecting on their own and others' learning approaches and professional methods.
Students can enroll either full-time or part-time. The curriculum requires completion of 6-8 taught modules, including two core modules (Evidence-Based Practice and Research Methods) and 4-6 electives, culminating in a research thesis. Full-time students can finish in three semesters, while part-time students can adjust their pace, taking 1-3 modules per semester within a maximum three-year period. This adaptable structure accommodates educational, professional, clinical, and financial considerations for both students and employers. Graduates of the Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Clinical Practice may transfer credits into this MSc program, subject to approval.
Instruction methods vary by module and may include lectures, seminars, self-directed study, and/or e-learning, conducted both on-campus and remotely. While online modules are offered, students should verify availability with the module leader before registration. Participants must ensure they can attend all required components of their chosen modules.
