UL's Aeronautical Engineering program opens doors to the thrilling aerospace sector. Renowned across Europe, this prestigious program boasts exceptional facilities like wind tunnels and composite material production tools. Currently, aerospace engineers face unprecedented career opportunities due to significant workforce shortages in Europe. Over 70% of our alumni work in aerospace, with 63% residing in Ireland.
Our graduates have ascended to top positions in aerospace, with current job prospects being exceptionally strong. High-achieving third-year students may study abroad at Florida's world-famous Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University or Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta - ranked among America's top 5 engineering schools.
The B.E. and M.E. degrees span 4 and 5 years respectively, both featuring an 8-month cooperative education placement in industry. The curriculum offers comprehensive, hands-on training covering aircraft design, aerodynamics, propulsion systems, avionics, and more, preparing graduates for all aerospace sectors.
Fully compliant with the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS), the program facilitates student exchanges throughout Europe. Students transferring from Level 6 or 7 Engineering programs may enter directly into second or third year.
