The three- to four-year full-time (or equivalent part-time) research program focuses on advancing knowledge in Fine Art through original studio investigations and other appropriate research approaches.

Participants develop a research proposal centered around a primary question while receiving methodological training. Key expectations include: Addressing a core research question through studio practice, Examining related international studio research, Studying theoretical and historical aspects through academic research
Partnering with others when beneficial to expand the investigation's scope, Creating work that demonstrates novel insights responding to the research question, Producing a 500-word synopsis outlining the knowledge contribution along with a reflective examination of the research's theoretical/historical framework and a critical evaluation of the research process.

Qualification Requirements

Bachelors degree with honours in fine art (First Class Honoursor 2.1 or GPA of 3.50 or above [or equivalent international qualification]), or a Masters degree in fine art, or equivalent. An appropriate portfolio and statement of intent including a key research question are also required.
IELTS- 6.5 overall, no less than 5.5 in any one component.
TOEFL- 88 overall 7 Listening, 16 Speaking, 18 Writing, 8 Reading
