Doctoral candidates in the College of Science participate in a Structured PhD program
Zoology Department research primarily focuses on these key disciplines: evolutionary studies, encompassing developmental evolution in animals, parasite ecology, fish farming and fishery oversight, ecosystem science, animal behavior, and wildlife preservation across multiple species groups, including: nearshore marine and freshwater fish, mammals and avian species - particularly squirrels, bats, and game birds, coastal and terrestrial centipedes, as well as non-native aquatic species like zebra mussels.

Qualification Requirements

To be eligible to enter on a programme of study and research for the degree of PhD you must have reached a high honours standard at the examination for the primary degree or presented such evidence as will satisfy the Head of School and the College of your fitness.
IELTS- 6.5 overall, no less than 5.5 in any one component.
TOEFL- 88 overall 7-11 Listening, 16-17 Speaking, 18-20 Writing, 8-12 Reading
