Modern Anatomy focuses on understanding function within a structural framework while achieving sufficient spatial and temporal clarity of cellular processes. Postgraduate candidates will undertake a research project aligned with our specialized areas, utilizing the diverse technological resources within the Anatomy department. The program mandates completion of specific coursework modules, with comprehensive information available on the Graduate Studies website regarding Structured PhD Programs. Furthermore, students are encouraged to engage in scientific collaboration with both internal and external research teams. PhD candidates are also expected to participate in departmental teaching responsibilities. Admission to our research programs is contingent upon departmental approval. Prospective students should reach out to the department administrator to schedule a meeting with faculty members for preliminary discussions about research degree opportunities.
PhD candidates should normally have a high honours standard in a relevant academic discipline at primary degree level or equivalent together with the support of an academic staff member who is approved by the College to supervise the research in terms of its nature and scope.
Additional entry requirements
Candidates may be required to submit a research proposal for consideration by the School as part of their application.
