The Bachelor of Arts (Joint-Honours) program features structured subject groupings. First-year students in GY101 select three subjects from a pool of 24 options, categorized into 7 distinct groups (with only one subject permitted per group). In subsequent years, learners advance two of these subjects to degree level.
This adaptable program provides diverse two-subject combinations, combining academic excellence with practical skill development for career preparedness. Throughout the degree, students cultivate intellectual interests across multiple disciplines while honing critical thinking and persuasive communication abilities.
The curriculum begins with three first-year subjects, with students continuing two into upper years. Modern language students undertake mandatory international study in Year 3 (graduating with a BA International), maintaining both subjects abroad. Dual-language students complete twelve-week placements in both relevant language regions - typically combining an academic year abroad with a summer immersion.
