The Precision Medicine program welcomes graduates in Life Sciences and Healthcare professionals with at least a 2H1 undergraduate degree. This 90-credit MSc offers a full-time, one-year option, along with the alternative of pursuing a 60-credit Graduate Diploma in Precision Medicine.
Genomics and precision medicine form an expanding field within science and healthcare. Insights into how genetics, behavior, and environment influence health are growing increasingly vital in global healthcare and biomedical research.
Equipping life scientists, biomedical researchers, and healthcare professionals with the skills to interpret and apply data-driven approaches is key to advancing this field. The curriculum covers clinical and translational research fundamentals, diagnostic applications, biomarker development, and precision medicine applications in oncology, drug development, and infectious diseases. Foundational courses in translational bioinformatics and biostatistics help students unfamiliar with these areas develop interdisciplinary skills to analyze precision medicine data and effectively communicate findings.
