Physiology is a branch of biology focused on understanding the functioning of the human body. Researchers in this field study how cells and organs work together, examining their complex interactions that allow our bodies to perform under both normal and demanding conditions. As a result, physiologists play a key role in medical advancements and gaining deeper insights into disease mechanisms.

At UCD, students studying Physiology develop comprehensive knowledge about bodily systems, including the heart, lungs, and kidneys, exploring their operations, relationships, and responses to environmental factors.
