Since much of European heritage traces its roots to Classical Antiquity, studying Classics provides understanding not only of ancient history but also of the concepts and writings that influenced modern times. The BA degree offers three distinct subjects, which can be pursued individually or in combination:

Greek & Roman Civilisation
Latin
Greek
Greek & Roman Civilisation delves into the Classical World through various disciplines including history, literature, art, archaeology, mythology, and philosophy. No prior expertise is required, nor is learning ancient languages necessary.

Latin and Greek enable you to start learning a new language from the beginning or advance your current skills. Gain the ability to read original texts by renowned authors like Cicero, Homer, Plato, Sophocles, and Virgil.
