The MCh in Surgical Science is a Master's degree program accepting new students yearly, designed to offer advanced surgical education for medical graduates. Students can complete it either part-time over two years or full-time in one year, though we advise full-time applicants not to maintain full-time employment and recommend full online participation for international students. The curriculum features instructional modules to deepen academic knowledge of the specialty before or alongside surgical training, plus a thesis component. These modules combine digital learning materials with in-person workshops, with personal assignments contributing to building a strong clinical, educational, and research profile. Additionally, the program delivers systematic research methodology and academic writing instruction across two years to facilitate successful completion of clinical research projects.
Applicants for the MCh in Surgical Science will be medical graduates who attained their Degrees of MB BCh BAO, or equivalent, from a recognised medical school and be registered with the Medical Council in the country in which they are practising.
