Our MSc in Digital Business Design & Development is a rigorous one-year full-time master's program. This cutting-edge course equips honors graduates without prior tech background with essential knowledge of digital commerce strategies, technical competencies for building professional e-business systems, and outstanding career prospects alongside an exceptional learning experience. During the initial phase, students collaborate closely with faculty through lectures, seminars, and hands-on sessions in advanced development labs, mastering foundational skills for modern digital commerce. The curriculum covers diverse topics such as business strategy, web and mobile programming, systems analysis, and infrastructure design - all taught with practical business applications suitable for tech beginners.
The second phase involves team projects where small groups, guided by mentors, transform innovative digital business concepts into reality. Student teams progress from initial ideas to comprehensive business plans, ultimately developing working prototype systems to demonstrate their ventures' potential.
To apply for this course, you will have:
at least a Second Class Honours Grade II in a primary honours degree (NFQ, Level 8) in any discipline except those with high levels of software development content (e.g. computer science, business information systems, etc.) or
expect to graduate in the year of entry with at least a Second Class Honours Grade II in a primary honours degree (NFQ, Level 8) in any discipline except those with high levels of software development content
Consideration under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) will be given to applicants who do not meet the minimum criteria but who have relevant professional experience, subject to approval by the School of Business.
