Our Master of Research (MRes) program in Plant Biology is designed for dedicated students passionate about pursuing advanced studies in this field. This full-time Plant Biology MRes spans 12 months from initial enrollment, with intake options in October or January. The curriculum includes (a) a substantial research thesis and (b) instructional modules focusing on transferable competencies, particularly scientific communication, public speaking, and fundamental research methodologies. Please note this MRes program does not offer part-time enrollment. Students complete 90 credits during the year, with the cornerstone being a 70-credit research dissertation of roughly 10,000 words. Additionally, participants select and complete 20 credits worth of taught coursework modules.
Applicants must have at least a 2.1 in a relevant discipline and‚ÄØmust contact the proposed MRes supervisor to discuss and agree on a research proposal before their application. In addition, applicants will be interviewed by the proposed supervisor and Head of Discipline prior to their application
