The modern era is defined by unprecedented movement across borders. Factors like warfare, political instability, health emergencies, and environmental shifts have created migration levels surpassing any previous period. To effectively engage with this evolving landscape, we must cultivate competencies for comprehending migration trends and adapting to ever-changing multicultural environments. This innovative Master's program in Migration, Mobility and Culture (MMC) prepares students with a comprehensive, cross-border perspective on the significant global issue of migration and its intersections with cultural, political, and social dimensions. Throughout this intensive year-long course, you'll collaborate with migration specialists spanning diverse fields such as Sociology, Language Studies, Geography, Legal Studies, Social Work, and Public Health.
As part of UCC Futures' Signature Programmes, the MA in Migration, Mobility and Culture connects with both Collective Social Futures and Future Humanities initiatives. It embodies UCC's commitment to interdisciplinary, research-driven education while offering expansive learning opportunities. MMC provides a platform for faculty and students to explore novel concepts and acquire distinctive graduate competencies that reflect UCC's academic excellence.
