Our Master's program features courses covering Irish literature, language studies, and manuscript analysis with palaeography. Students explore the evolution of the Irish language through history and its contemporary variations, especially within Munster dialects. A key requirement involves completing a research-based dissertation. Instruction is delivered entirely in Irish.
The curriculum examines Irish linguistic and literary traditions from medieval times to the present, spanning from bardic poetry to works by Nuala Ní Dhomhnaill. A compulsory academic writing component is included. Upon completion, students gain comprehensive expertise in Irish language and literature, along with refined skills in presenting academic work clearly and engagingly.
