This LLM program delves into the convergence of law, technology, and innovation. You'll examine cutting-edge topics surrounding emerging tech regulation, including AI governance, legal frameworks for the digital economy, and digital human rights protections. This dynamic discipline is experiencing significant advancements, especially within EU legal and policy spheres. Designed for both law and non-law graduates, the program appeals to those pursuing careers in digital economy sectors or AI regulation. A condensed Postgraduate Diploma option (Law, Technology and Innovation) requires completing 60 credits from the LLM curriculum, available as a 9-month full-time or 18-month part-time course.
To be accepted on this course you must be approved by the School of Law and must normally:
(a) hold a law degree with Second Class Honours Grade I (NFQ, Level 8); or
(b) have such other relevant third-level educational qualifications and/or professional experience as, in the opinion of the School of Law, qualify you under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) to undertake the LLM (Intellectual Property and e-Law) degree;
