The initial year of the BE program provides a comprehensive foundation in core engineering principles. Upon completing this first year, students have the option to specialize in Process and Chemical Engineering. Your selected specialization in the second year also creates an opportunity to pursue Process and Chemical Engineering at the Masters (ME) level. After successfully finishing the third year, students progress to fourth year, choosing between the 5-year Integrated ME track for qualified candidates or graduating with a BE(Hons) after four years. The ME program includes an 8-month Professional Work Placement occurring in the second semester of Year 4 and continuing through the summer break.
Process and Chemical Engineers play vital roles in designing, improving, and managing production processes across diverse industries such as pharmaceuticals, food and beverage manufacturing, chemical production, and energy sectors. This engineering discipline contributes significantly to addressing global needs in healthcare, energy solutions, food security, water resources, waste treatment, and consumer products.
