This mathematics theory and practice course is tailored for CACSSS students looking to deepen their mathematical engagement. It also serves as a pathway to secondary-level mathematics education.
The Mathematical Studies BA is available within the BA Arts (Honours) program and pairs well with other quantitative BA Arts options like Economics or Geography.
You'll explore the theoretical foundations of school mathematics while applying mathematical concepts to real-world challenges. The program emphasizes developing communication skills, teaching you to construct logical arguments supported by numerical evidence through both written and oral presentations.
Non-EU applicants are expected to have educational qualifications of a standard equivalent to the Irish Leaving Certificate
Duolingo English Test (DET): DET 120 with a minimum score of 110 in each individual section

Pearson PTE Academic: Minimum of 63 (with at least 59 for each item in the Communicative Skills section)
