The Master of Science in Energy Science is a 12-month graduate program collaboratively offered by the Schools of Chemistry, Natural Sciences, Physics, and Engineering. This program equips students with comprehensive understanding and practical exposure to both the theoretical foundations and real-world implementation of traditional and renewable energy solutions.
Coursework encompasses diverse subjects such as energy markets and regulations, sustainable resource utilization, traditional and nuclear power sources, energy conversion systems, renewable energy innovations, electrical infrastructure, energy electronics, and ecological considerations of energy consumption.
Our interdisciplinary faculty delivers each subject area, progressing from core scientific concepts to practical implementation challenges through their collective expertise.
The MSc is suitable for graduates who have achieved an upper second class honours degree or the international equivalent in either physical sciences or engineering. However applications from similarly qualified candidates from other disciplines are welcome if they can demonstrate a sufficient level of knowledge or interest in the Energy Sector.
