Acknowledging mutual interests in Information Technology and its increasing importance for music, Electronic and Electrical Engineering and Music jointly launched a Master's program in Music and Media Technologies in 1996.

This program uniquely balances musical and technical subjects. On the musical side, it prioritizes versatile compositional abilities, while technological aspects are explored through practical studio experience alongside foundational mathematical and scientific principles tailored to musical applications.

The MMT program aims to deliver comprehensive knowledge of computer, audio, and video technologies while incorporating media-focused subjects like music, visual arts, and interactive installations. Throughout the year, students enhance their artistic creativity through coursework and assessments, culminating in a final thesis that demonstrates substantial innovation in either technological or artistic domains.
