The School of Histories and Humanities brings together the Departments of Classics, History, History of Art and Architecture, along with the Centre for Gender and Women's Studies. Our 36 full-time faculty members maintain a globally recognized research presence across diverse fields such as archaeology, philosophy, ancient languages, historical periods from Classical to Modern, art and architectural history, and gender studies. The School currently enrolls 96 research students and 107 postgraduate taught students. Our faculty is committed to research-informed teaching, values student input, and embraces cross-disciplinary methodologies.
Postgraduate work in Trinity College Dublin is very academically challenging and as a result the University has high academic entry requirements. Applicants will need to hold at least a 2.1 honors degree from an Irish university or equivalent result from a university in another country; a fluent command of the English language. Display a high level of competence in the English language in one of the examination systems recognised by Trinity College Dublin.
