The School of Histories and Humanities brings together four academic units: Classics, History, History of Art and Architecture, along with the Centre for Gender and Women's Studies. Our 36 full-time faculty members maintain a global research reputation across diverse fields such as archaeology, philosophy, ancient languages, historical periods from Classical to Modern, art and architectural history, and gender studies. The School currently enrolls 96 research candidates and 107 students in our taught postgraduate programs. Our faculty prioritizes research-informed teaching, values student input, and embraces cross-disciplinary methodologies.
Postgraduate work in Trinity College Dublin is very academically challenging and as a result the University has high academic entry requirements. Applicants will need to hold at least a 2.1 honors degree from an Irish university or equivalent result from a university in another country; a fluent command of the English language. Display a high level of competence in the English language in one of the examination systems recognised by Trinity College Dublin.
