The Department of History of Art and Architecture provides two graduate research options: a PhD program (3-4 years full-time, 6 years part-time) and an M.Litt. research master's program (2 years full-time, 3 years part-time). Doctoral candidates produce a dissertation not exceeding 100,000 words, while master's students submit a thesis capped at 60,000 words.
