The programs at Limerick School of Art & Design (LSAD) are designed to help students develop into self-assured, well-spoken, knowledgeable, and imaginative practitioners who can make meaningful impacts in their chosen areas of contemporary culture.
The first-year Art and Design (Common Entry) program initiates this journey by offering students the essential inspiration to foster confidence, initiative, and a thirst for learning that will fuel their creative work. The first year acknowledges the diverse backgrounds of its students, celebrating ethnic, cultural, and gender differences as foundations for unique creativity. This program equips students with the fundamental skills, terminology, and contextual understanding needed to advance to second-year honors degree studies in disciplines such as Painting, Print Contemporary Practice, Sculpture & Combined Media, Animation & Motion Design, Ceramics in Expanding Practice, Fashion, or Graphic Design Communication.
LSAD stands as the most prominent Art and Design institution outside Dublin, boasting a distinguished reputation that has earned recognition both nationally and globally.
