The Bachelor of Arts (Honours) in Fashion Design (specializing in Collection Design, Applied Textiles, Technology, or Sustainability) offered by Limerick School of Art & Design is widely recognized both in Ireland and globally for delivering an immersive, practical, and imaginative fashion education.
This program cultivates originality, inventive thinking, and technical proficiency across four specialized tracks: Collection Design, Applied Textiles, Technology, or Sustainability. In their second year, students select one specialization that shapes their academic journey. Within their chosen focus area, learners receive guidance to investigate fashion design through topics and techniques aligned with their personal interests, helping them cultivate their unique design perspective. Our objective is to mentor students in developing their own methodology for addressing design challenges in apparel, textile innovation, fashion technology, or sustainable fashion systems.
We prioritize helping students integrate traditional craftsmanship with digital competencies, groundbreaking creativity, and analytical reasoning. Our curriculum continuously evolves to reflect shifting industry trends both domestically and internationally. This industry-responsive approach provides our students and alumni with a competitive advantage as they advance in Fashion & Textile design careers.
By fostering creative thinking and versatile skills, the B.A. (Honours) Fashion Design program prepares students to become adaptable, compassionate, innovative, and driven designers equipped to excel across all sectors of the Fashion and Textiles industry and related fields.
