The shift toward digital transformation is rapidly progressing across organizations and society, with Artificial Intelligence (AI) becoming ever more influential. Additionally, the EU AI Act significantly reshapes regulatory frameworks for AI technologies, affecting manufacturers, importers, distributors, representatives, operators, and users both within and outside the EU. A key goal of this legislation is to guarantee that AI systems introduced to the EU market adhere to safety standards and align with fundamental rights under EU law. By doing so, we uphold human dignity in both practice and the development of human-centered AI.
At Technological University Dublin, the MSc in Computing (Human Centred AI) equips students with the skills to develop, implement, and navigate the societal implications of AI. The program emphasizes student-focused education through hands-on workshops, tutorials, and practical exercises covering AI reliability, ethical considerations, and socially responsible design. Developed collaboratively by ten European institutions—including universities, research centers, and SMEs—the course features an annual joint project week in Utrecht, where students collaborate with industry and academic partners.
