As numerous tech companies transition their software delivery systems to DevOps methodologies, the demand for professionals with comprehensive DevOps expertise has become critical. Students can earn a complete Master of Science degree in this specialized field, focusing on real-world implementation in professional environments. This program is offered by TU Dublin. The curriculum was developed in partnership with leading ICT industry stakeholders, addressing the three core components of effective DevOps: People, Process, and Technology. Participants will master automation techniques for complete software update and deployment cycles, including critical aspects like pipeline security, automated testing, and DevSecOps. For the 2025 intake, the program has been refreshed to incorporate emerging considerations around sustainability and artificial intelligence in DevOps. The course explores advanced subjects in Architecture, Performance, and Security. This full-time program spans one academic year.
Honours graduates (Level 8) with a major in a Computing or Information Technology, at a minimum award level of second class grade two honours are eligible for entry to the programme. Students with a lower grade of Level 8 award than a 2.2 and some years of suitable experience may also qualify for admission.
Honours graduates (Level 8) in equivalent cognate fields with an award at 2.2. or higher. Applicants who have an Honours Bachelor's Degree (Level 8) in an equivalent cognate field (e.g. Scientific, Mathematical, Engineering, or Business IS/MIS discipline), at a minimum award level of second class honours grade 2 (2.2), will be considered for entry if their prior experience is considered an adequate background to prepare them for the programme.
