The MA in 3D Design caters to both new graduates and seasoned professionals in three-dimensional design disciplines like Product Design, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or related fields, seeking to advance their education through a practice-oriented Master's program. Applicants typically arrive with a research focus that could serve as the foundation for their primary project.
Offered by TU Dublin's School of Art & Design, this program provides a distinctive setting for concentrated study within a cross-disciplinary framework, blending hands-on studio work with intellectual exploration, theoretical study, and historical research.
This program is part of the Creative Arts Masters Platform, which includes four other specialized tracks. MA 3D Design students collaborate with peers from Interior Design, Visual Communications, Fine Art, and Contemporary Visual Culture—the latter focusing on the theory, critique, and history of visual culture. The Platform fosters specialization while encouraging interaction across practical and analytical fields, emphasizing creative work informed by critical and historical discourse.
