The MA in 3D Design caters to both new graduates and seasoned professionals in three-dimensional design disciplines like Product Design, Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Interior Design, Architecture, or related fields, who seek to advance their education through a practice-oriented Master's program. Applicants typically arrive with a research focus that could serve as the foundation for their primary project.
Offered by TU Dublin's School of Art & Design, this program provides a distinctive blend of hands-on studio work and scholarly exploration, combining creative practice with theoretical and historical investigation in an interdisciplinary setting.
As part of the Creative Arts Masters Platform, this program is one of five available options. MA 3D Design students collaborate with peers from other studio-based programs—Interior Design, Visual Communications, and Fine Art—as well as those in the Contemporary Visual Culture program, which focuses on visual culture theory, criticism, and art/design history. The Platform fosters specialization while encouraging interaction across practical and analytical fields, emphasizing practice that engages with critical and historical discourse.
Bachelor Degree (Honours 2.1 or above) in relevant disciplines.
