Terms like phishing, piracy, the dark web, online scams, and cyber fraud are now widely recognized by both individuals and organizations. This program will equip graduates with cutting-edge cybersecurity skills and knowledge. They'll learn to develop solutions addressing critical cybersecurity challenges, improving privacy and trust in digital systems. Through courses in Security Management and Compliance, Network and Cloud Security, Advanced Incident Response, and Penetration Testing, students will gain essential skills for careers as Security Analysts, Security Engineers, Penetration Testers, or Security Managers in the cybersecurity field.
Students will also explore innovative approaches to building privacy and trust through the Cryptography and Blockchains and Distributed Ledgers courses. They'll create practical applications designed to foster a more secure and reliable digital environment.
A second-class honours level 8 primary degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science or cognate discipline with significant numerate, technical and analytical content.
OR
Applicants who do not meet the above standard entry requirements will also be considered if they have an undergraduate degree (at Level 7 or higher) and a minimum of 3 years verifiable relevant industrial experience. Shortlisted applicants who do not meet the standard entry requirements will be invited for interview.
