The Master of Engineering in Applied Materials equips students with specialized knowledge, analytical tools, and methodologies for material characterization, computational design, failure assessment, and practical material selection.
This program emphasizes developing innovative approaches, fundamental theories, and systematic procedures to analyze mechanical component failures, diagnose performance issues, and create engineering solutions. Students will explore materials science from atomic structures to full-scale component simulations, utilizing specialized software platforms. The curriculum integrates contemporary post-processing approaches with cutting-edge production methods, addressing complex engineering demands such as aerospace embedded systems manufacturing, intelligent water infrastructure surface technologies, and sustainable bulk material alternatives to disposable plastics and films.
Graduates with a minimum for 2.2 honours in a Level 8 degree such as Mechanical/Materials Science/Aerospace/ Aeronautical /Aircraft Engineering or equivalent programme.

Graduates with a Level 7 Distinction award in Mechanical/ Materials Science/Aerospace/Aeronautical/Aircraft or equivalent programme with a minimum 2 years relevant post qualification experience.

EU and International graduates whose qualifications which are in line with the Bologna agreement or the international NARIC system for Level 8 comparison.
