The Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) in Electronic Engineering is a four-year full-time honours degree program available through the Engineering Common Entry Pathway. Accredited by Engineers Ireland (EI), this program equips students for careers in the electronics sector. Students undertake a six-month industry placement during semester 6 of year 3, typically running from mid-February to mid-August at an electronics firm. Before commencing their placement, students complete an intensive training program covering Workplace Safety, Resource Allocation, and Engineering Ethics. Previous host companies have included industry leaders such as ABB, Abbott, Analog Devices, Bausch & Lomb, Braun, Datapac, EMC, Ericsson, ESB, GEA Automation, Honeywell, Howmedica, Intel, Janssen Pharmaceutical, Kromberg & Schubert, Lasercut Engineering, Measurex, Merck Sharpe & Dohme, Sanmina-SCI, and Schering Plough.
You should be at least 17 years of age in January of the year of entry.
You must have a Secondary/High School Diploma, with good grades in English and Mathematics and at least 4 other subjects, on average + 60%.
