This three-year interdisciplinary Psychology program enables students to combine a primary focus on psychology with complementary studies in humanities. Psychology examines human behavior and cognitive processes scientifically. The BA (Honours) in Psychology aims to cultivate psychological thinking skills, achieved through analyzing empirical data and exploring theoretical frameworks.

Language Recommendations for BA (Hons) in Psychology
Applicants intending to choose PLC French: a grade of H5, or equivalent, in Leaving Certificate French is required.
Applicants intending to choose PLC Irish: a grade of H5, or equivalent, in Leaving Certificate Irish is required.
For all ab initio languages (those starting a language as a beginner) there are no special requirements.

Candidates for year 1 entry to our Bachelor Degree programmes must hold a high school completion certificate that comes in at level 5 on the Irish National Framework of Qualifications. All candidates must have completed 12 years of full-time education prior to applying for entry to SETU
All students whose first language is not English must be able to provide evidence that their spoken and written level of English is adequate for the programme for which they have applied. The relevant certified documentation to support this shall be provided as part of the application process. An approved English language qualification or test result (see below for list of approved qualifications and test results). The qualification or test result shall have been awarded no more than two years prior to the proposed date of enrolment. Substantial education (minimum one academic year) or work experience (minimum eighteen months) conducted through English and undertaken no more than two years prior to the proposed date of enrolment. Satisfactory completion of an interview process for entry onto the programme.
