The Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems and Networking program is designed to meet industry demands, equipping graduates with practical skills to support, administer, and manage information and communication technology (ICT) infrastructure across diverse sectors.
Today's businesses universally depend on ICT, requiring specialized knowledge to handle customer and product tracking, website development and management, computer and network maintenance, software updates, and secure deployment of digital services.
Numerous technology firms, both large and small, deliver hardware and software solutions to industries ranging from finance and agriculture to telecommunications, healthcare, and education. These operations involve various specialized roles including solution testing, remote system monitoring, software deployment, and technical support.
This program emphasizes hands-on technical training in computing systems, focusing on hardware, software, and network maintenance. The initial semester shares foundational computing modules with other programs at MTU Kerry North Campus, covering hardware, networking, and programming basics. Specialized IT support and training modules begin in the second semester.
