Our programs blend hands-on hospitality training with essential management techniques, knowledge, and abilities in a diverse classroom setting, equipping graduates with optimal career preparation.
The Tourism and Hospitality Building at MTU boasts contemporary teaching kitchens, IT and front desk labs, a demonstration theater, practice restaurants and bars, along with modern classrooms. Students benefit from administrative support and direct access to seasoned instructors in a supportive learning environment.
The curriculum incorporates traditional lectures, small-group sessions, individual and collaborative projects, industry guest speakers, and educational excursions. Students can customize their learning through various elective options tailored to their interests.
The program requires a 12-week minimum work placement between first and second year, followed by a management internship during third year. These placements enable students to gain experience at different hospitality establishments in Ireland and potentially abroad for their final year internship.
