This program enables students to explore a diverse range of Home Economics and Business subjects. It stands out as the first and only national program offering a BA (Hons) in Home Economics and Business. Graduates enjoy numerous career paths, including pursuing a Professional Master of Education (PME) in Home Economics and Business or working as community-based Home Economists. They also acquire expertise in food, nutrition, textiles, household technology, and more, equipping them to launch their own food, beverage, or textile ventures.
The Home Economics curriculum is multidisciplinary, fostering skills in culinary arts, biological sciences, textiles and design, consumer studies, family resource management, social studies, architecture, and environmental studies. The Business component develops competencies in management, accounting, economics, human resources, international business, entrepreneurship, and legal studies.
