The Postgraduate Diploma in International Justice equips students with a deep understanding of international justice systems. This program specifically examines human rights, equity, and
social integration within international legal frameworks. Students gain knowledge about the functioning of global legal structures and their role in safeguarding marginalized communities such as minorities, displaced populations, and individuals with disabilities. The course analyzes existing legal frameworks and demonstrates their real-world applications.
Instruction occurs through intimate lectures, practical simulations, interactive workshops, and expert-led masterclasses. Beyond core coursework, The School collaborates with distinguished scholars and professionals who conduct specialized law seminars during the academic term.
Our institution maintains collaborations with top-tier international legal practices including Matheson and A&L Goodbody on multiple projects. Students can also pursue our Postgraduate Placement option, allowing qualified candidates to undertake part-time positions for a semester with our associate organizations. We've established alliances with diverse entities spanning both public and private spheres, including the Irish Council for Civil Liberties, the Irish Penal Reform Trust, Forsa, PrivacyEngine, and Alcohol Action Ireland.
The minimum entry requirement for this programme is a 2:2 overall classification in a Level 8 undergraduate degree. This degree must be in law or a cognate discipline in the humanities, or social/political sciences (including but not limited to business, finance, economics, international relations, sociology, etc).
